The Zhongshan Civilization Construction Promotion Work Conference was convened days before to deliberate the construction of “Civilized Zhongshan”, the improvement of citizens’ civilization quality and the establishment of “Civilized City”.

The meeting delivered the feedback on the civilization construction work of Zhongshan city provided by central and provincial civilization departments and explained the “Zhongshan Action Plan on Civic Virtue Improvement and Civilization City Establishment (2018-2020)”. A group of villages, units, schools and moral education units for juveniles were commended.

Municipal Party Secretary Chen Xudong indicated at the conference that Zhongshan is of solid foundation in civilization construction and has won “National Civilized City” title for five times. The city should strive to defend the honorary title in 2020.
