Wang Liqun, Dongsheng Township Party Secretary, Xiao Quan, member of Dongsheng Township Party Committee, and Li Jianhui, Dongsheng Deputy Town Chief were invited to radio program “Friday On Air” on August 3 to communicate the construction progress of Dongsheng “Baseball Small Town” with citizens. Wang Liqun revealed that relevant land acquisition work had been done so far, and the infrastructure construction would be started within the year.

Reportedly, “Zhongshan International Baseball Small Town”, which covers an area of 1,000 mu, features baseball games, baseball training, baseball comics and animations and other elements. The whole construction will spent 7bn yuan and 5 years' time.

In recent years, Dongsheng authorities had taken the initiative to communicate and exchange with baseball-related institutions such as General Administration of Sport of China, Chinese Baseball Association, the US’ Major League Baseball, and etc.

In the next stage, Dongsheng will try hard to bid for hosting of The 2018 PONY Baseball League China Final and The 2019 II BFA Women’s Baseball Asian Cup, in addition, accelerate the construction of baseball college and carry out the “baseball in kindergarten” program.
