The Hong Kong “Greater Bay Area” Exploratory Mission visited Zhongshan on September 9 to acquire latest progress of the construction of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel, Zhongshan’s regional status and development planning of Tsuihang New District.

The exploratory mission was formed by the chairmen and the deputy chairmen of 18 district councils of Hong Kong and officials of Hong Kong’s Home Affairs Bureau. It will spend 3 days in “Greater Bay Area” cities including Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhongshan and Zhuhai for observation and investigation.

Mr Lau Kong-wah, Secretary for Home Affairs Bureau, believed the tour of observation could help them further understand the positioning and development planning of each “Greater Bay Area” city and could drive better cooperation and exchange between Hong Kong and Guangdong Province in the future.
