The 6th Session of Guangdong Province National Minority Games kicked off on September 14 in Qingyuan city. Zhongshan sent a delegation of 101 people, including 73 athletes, to participate in 9 events such as shuttlecock, pearl ball and national aerobics.

Reportedly, Zhongshan has 46 ethnic minorities with a minority population of over 100,000. 

At present, there are about 4.8 million minority nationalities in Guangdong.
