The monthly traffic report of urban area of Zhongshan shows that the Traffic Performance Index of urban area for August increased 0.73% to 1.46 from a month earlier, showing a “basic clear” traffic condition, Zhongshan traffic department says. However, daily average travel speed was 36.74 km/h in August, down 0.13 km/h from July.

Reportedly, in August, daily traffic volume in urban area reached 1,286.4 thousand vehicle-times, with a 2.31% decrease from July, reflecting a slight drop of traffic pressure in both morning and evening peak hours.
