In the first three quarters of the year, a total of 303 fire happened across Zhongshan and caused 3 deaths, according to local fire department. The numbers respectively dropped 46.09% and 40% from the same period of last year.

Early this year, the “Zhongshan 2018 Electrical Fire Treatment Scheme” and the “Zhongshan Electrombile Special Management Scheme” were issued jointly by local fire department and other 10 organs for comprehensive control of electrical fire accidents. Since then, the municipal and township governments had totally invested 229mn yuan on electrical fire safety. In that case, the number of electrical fire happened this year decreased 31.1% to 115 from a year earlier.

Reportedly, there are 65 large complexes with over 10,000sqm area in Zhongshan. In order to remove hidden fire danger, Zhongshan Work Safety Committee Office previously formulated and issued relevant fire safety regulation scheme, and entrusted third-party technical service organization to carry out fire safety inspection in terms of safe evacuation, plane layout, interior decoration, fire-fighting equipment and etc in those 65 large complexes.
