The city’s air quality report for Q3 was recently released, Zhongshan Environmental Protection Bureau says. According to the report, Zhongshan’s air quality ranked 7th, 16th and 15th province-wide respectively in July, August and September, and ranked 12th in Q3. The air quality of the city was improved from a year earlier. 

In the third quarter, 92 days’ air quality were effectively monitored, including 55 “excellent air” days. There was no “seriously polluted air” day in Q3. 

Meanwhile, in the third quarter, 82.6% of monitored days showed eligible Air Quality Index (AQI), up 7.6% over the same period last year. The main air pollutant of the city was ozone.

Besides, Department of Environmental Protection of Guangdong Province also announced the water quality status report for September recently. Both Dafeng Water Plant and Quanlu Water Plant of Zhongshan city's met the standards.
