As of the end of September this year, there were a total of 374.5 thousand registered market entities in Zhongshan, according to Zhongshan Industrial and Commercial Bureau. 21,473 of them were added in the third quarter, with a 5.46% year-on-year increase. It means on average Zhongshan added 325 new market entities per working day in Q3.

Data shows that foreign-invested enterprises increased rapidly in Q3. The number of newly-registered foreign-funded enterprises increased 104.3% to 190 from a year earlier. It was the third consecutive quarter with an over 100% growth.

Most of the foreign-invested enterprises settled down in Torch Zone, numbering 647 by the end of September. It means for every 6 days there was a new foreign-invested company in Torch Zone.
