The “2018 Rural Revitalization and Development Forum and Most Beautiful Villages and Towns Awards Ceremony” was held in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province on November 2. Zhongshan’s Sanxiang Town became the only one in Guangdong Province to win the Eco-livable Award of 2018 China’s Most Beautiful Villages and Towns.

Reportedly, Sanxiang Town is a thousand-year-old town in Lingnan area, a famous hometown of overseas Chinese and a cultural town. A number of influential figures in Chinese history, such as enlightenment thinker and industrialist Zheng Guanying, were born here. Last year, Sanxiang Town ranked 58th among the top 1,000 towns in China, with a per capita income of 33,870 yuan.
