Zhongshan’s CPI rises 1.4% in the first three quarters

In the first three quarters of 2018, the consumer price index (CPI) of Zhongshan increased by 1.4%, 0.7 percentage points lower than the province’s (up 2.1%), Zhongshan Survey Team of National Bureau of Statistics' data shows.

Food prices rose by 1.0%, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from the first half (up 1.1%).

Affected by holidays, typhoons, heavy rains and other factors, the price of fresh vegetables increased by 9.6% in the first three quarters.

Owing to the falling price of live pigs, the retail price of pork in the first three quarters dramatically dropped by 9.5%. The prices of major crops and edible oils were stable.

Besides, the gasoline price increased by 13.7% in the first three quarters.
