"Zhongshan 980", the first inter-city bus line between Zhongshan and Guangzhou, was opened on December 28. 

Reportedly, "Zhong 980" covers a distance of 30.5km with 22 stops on Fuyuan Road, Jinsan Avenue, provincial road S111, Zhujiang Avenue, Fenghuang Avenue and City South Avenue. The whole journey takes 65 minutes in time and 4 yuan in price. Passenger can transfer to Guangzhou MRT at Jiaomen Metro Station or Huangge Metro Station.

In addition to Guangzhou, Zhongshan has so far opened bus lines to surrounding cities such as Foshan, Zhuhai and Jiangmen.
