The expectation of watching a boa "slithering" in the mountains and listening to the sounds of the waves piercing the mangrove forest will be a joyful and fascinating experience in the soon-to-open Zhongshan Forestry Biodome. The Biodome is located at the Zhongshan Arboretum, and it covers an area of 1,120 square meters. 

The modern two-story pavilion, with multiple exhibition areas including "Growth Ring Square", "Introduction Hall", the "Comprehensive Showroom", "Ecological Hall", and a "Multi-function Room", will demonstrate over 180 different kinds of beautiful flora and fauna specimens as well as the local forest vegetation types found in Zhongshan City.

Reportedly, the Zhongshan Forestry Biodome is the city's only exhibition pavilion displaying forest ecology and spreading forestry knowledge.

"The pavilion is now being inspected for compliance in fire control and acceptance. After certification, it will open 'free' to the public," said Sun Hongmei, a staff worker at the Zhongshan Forest Protection Center. In the future, the plan for the Zhongshan Forestry Biodome is to house and exhibit up to 300 types of eye-catching specimens.
