Zhongshan last year handled a total of 263 cases of idle land, which involved a total area of 10,300 mu, according to the Zhongshan Land and Resources Bureau. By doing this, Zhongshan has over-fulfilled the annual task assigned by "The 2018 Government Work Report". 

In addition, the Zhongshan Land and Resources Bureau had actively streamlined administration and delegated authority and optimized the handling procedures. The time limits for land identification and for land disposition were reduced to 2 and 5 working days respectively.

In terms of idle land exploitation and utilization, the Bureau also developed a supervision and warning system. For publicly-sold industrial land, the Bureau will carry out regular inspection to follow the construction progress, and give early warning to property owner to start construction without delay.
