Wuguishan takes another giant step forward in the new year in the construction of Eaglewood Characteristic Town, after the China Eaglewood Industry Development Summit was held and the National Eaglewood Industry Innovation Alliance was founded last month.

On the afternoon of Jan 3, the launching meeting of the group standards for eaglewood tea and essential oil was convened at Wuguishan District Office. The participating leaders, experts and entrepreneurs proposed to work out the standards as soon as possible in an effort to advance sustainable, stable, healthy and rapid development of the national eaglewood industry.

Zhongshan reportedly owns the name of China's "Hometown of Eaglewood" for abounding in eaglewood in history. The major production base is in Wuguishan District.
