"Zhongshan has now witnessed a more beautiful environment and easier traffic. I like the cuisines here, which are as tasty as always," said Chow Kwok-Yee, a travel consultant for the Hong Kong-based Long Ching Fei Travel Company.

A delegation consisting of 85 representatives from the Hong Kong travel industry visited Zhongshan on Wednesday for an observation of the tourist route. The delegation toured the Diyin Lake Eco-Tourism Resort in Sanjiao Town and the century-old company Juxiangyuan. They tasted featured foods from different towns and districts on the very same day.

In an effort to promote tourism cooperation within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Zhongshan Tourism Bureau gathered representatives together from 40 travel agencies to participate in the "Hong Kong-Zhongshan Tourism Roadshow" Wednesday night in Zhongshan.

Xu Xiaoli, Deputy Mayor of Zhongshan, was present at the Roadshow. "Since the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bridge, Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway opened, and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel construction got underway, travel between Hong Kong and Zhongshan has become much more convenient," Xu said. The Zhongshan Deputy Mayor hopes both sides will seize this opportunity and develop further cooperation in similar areas like regional tourist market promotion, tourism product R&D, tourist attraction construction, industry supervision, market situation optimization, and others.

During the upcoming Spring Festival, Zhongshan will carry out a series of celebrated tourist activities. Xu Xiaoli welcomed Hong Kong citizens in coming to Zhongshan to experience a happy, healthy, and prosperous Chinese New Year.
