The Guangdong provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently announced its list of "2018 Guangdong Major Agricultural Enterprises." A total of 13 Zhongshan-based firms, including the Shuichu Group and Palm Eco-Town Development, were selected. This number remains the same as the 2017 year figure.
The Zhongshan firms selected, with the exception of the agricultural trade and circulation enterprise Green Caiding, which was listed for the first time, are all production and processing enterprises offering vegetables, aquatic products, grain and oil, poultry, flowers and trees, and varieties of fodder.
Li Yi, a representative for Green Caiding, said the company has witnessed rapid development in recent years. Green Caiding had accomplished this by incorporating internet-based operational thinking and developing farm product distribution channels, both online and offline.
In addition to Pearl River Delta cities, Green Caiding has continued their brand expansion in other areas, both inside and outside of Guangdong Province. The company has also signed contracts to build three large-scale, agricultural product industrial bases in eastern and western Guangdong.
"Establishing Zhongshan as the headquarters, our plan is to allocate resources in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and then target the entire South China area. So far, we own 45 brand, chain markets, and the number is expected to reach 100 sometime this year," Li revealed.
