A delegation formed by deputies of the Municipal People's Congress and members of the Municipal Committee of CPPCC paid a visit to the Zhongshan Public Service Center, Zimaling Park, Shiqi Community Health Service Center, Zhongshan Bus Terminal, and Zhongshan Bo'ai Hospital on January 30. The delegation were there to investigate the construction progress of the baby care rooms.

As of the end of 2018, Zhongshan has built 102 baby care rooms across the city. Typically, these have been located in crowded, public venues such as hospitals, community health service stations, public service centers, parks, activity squares, bus terminals, and others. Approximately 30,000 women and children have benefited from these convenient facilities.

This year, Zhongshan plans to add another 70 baby care rooms in township areas. The municipal government will also bolster efforts in baby care room construction in various enterprises and commercial complexes. Furthermore, Zhongshan plans to encourage companies, institutions, and social organizations to participate in the construction.
