Chen Xudong underlined that the Zhongshan Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government will highly value their cooperation with TCL and fully support the company's capital expansion by coordinating and guaranteeing resources in the township areas. Li Dongsheng indicated that Zhongshan is one of the major cities in TCL's strategic layout. The company expects to expand investment space and solve capacity bottlenecks through land reorganization and allocation. TCL also intends to promote its air conditioning business to leading places across the country.

At present, TCL has its air conditioning economic headquarters established within the city, in Nantou Town. In 2018, the company sold nearly 10 million sets of air conditioners with a sales revenue of 13 billion yuan. TCL has become the leading enterprise among the hundred-billion-yuan-level home appliance industrial cluster in Zhongshan.
