From January 21 to February 9, the first 20 days of the Spring Festival travel rush, Zhongshan handled a total of 5.04 million passengers. This figure represents an 8.54% growth from the year earlier, according to Zhongshan Bureau of Transport's data.

In terms of road passenger transportation, a total of nearly 4.3 million passengers departed from or arrived in Zhongshan in the first 20 days. This figure is an increase of 6.93% from last year. The city also managed 644,700 railway passengers (up 25.65%) and 97,500 waterway passengers (down 12.02%) during the same period.

We are already halfway through this year's Spring Festival travel rush. The returning travel peak has started to appear on highways, in bus terminals, and on railways. "The returning passenger volume is approaching the peak from February 20, with an abundance of passengers pouring into the Pearl River Delta cities from Guangzhou South Station," said a staff representative of the Zhongshan Intercity Railway Station.
