The Guangdong Environmental Monitoring Center recently released the water quality report for January, 2019. The document reports on urban centralized drinking water sources in those cities at prefecture level and above. According to the report, both of the Zhongshan-based sources reached the grade 2 water quality standard.

The report further shows that 77 out of the 80 in-use urban centralized drinking water sources, province-wide, were monitored.

Two of the Zhongshan-based sources, included in the monitoring, were the Quanlu Water Plant and the Dafeng Water Plant. Water collections for these plants were 10 million and 9 million cubic meters respectively. Their water quality for both plants were shown to have reached "standard" and under "stable" condition.
