China's sprinter Su Bingtian won the Men's 60 meters title with a season best time of 6.47 seconds at the IAAF World Indoor Tour meeting in Birmingham, Britain on February 16.

"I am satisfied with the result," said Su after the race. The Zhongshan sprinter added that his 6.47 result even exceeded the target he had set before the race.

This was Su's second victory, having come on the heels of his season-opening win on February 13, local time, in Athlone, Ireland. There, he posted a winning time of 6.52.

Su is quite familiar with Birmingham's indoor stadium. At the World Indoor Championships held last year, he won the silver medal with a new Asian record time of 6.42 seconds. This marked the first sprint medal ever taken by a Chinese male athlete.

Su's next competition will be at the World Indoor Tour Finals; to be held in Dusseldorf, Germany on February 20.
