A total of 204 water stations have been nominated for the first review of China's "Most Beautiful Water Stations," according to the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province. Zhongshan Port's Wharf Station was among the 10 nominees located in Guangdong.

In September 2018, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) organized a selection activity to pick out the first group of "Most Beautiful Water Stations." A public voting session was launched on February 18, 2019 and will close at 24:00 on February 22.

In the near future, MEE will organize the expert review committee to conduct a professional assessment of the shortlisted stations. The winners of The Top 100 of China's "Most Beautiful Water Stations" will be announced following the final voting results and the expert review.
