The 12th Zhongshan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened its 3rd session on February 20, 2019 at the City Convention Center.

Qiu Shuhong, Chairman of the Zhongshan CPPCC, made a report to the meeting attendees on behalf of the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee.

On the agenda for this year's meeting was the establishment of a new "CPPCC Members' Channel" section for local political advisers to make statements.

The participating CPPCC members started registering on the afternoon of February 19. Many of them also submitted their suggestions involving topics, such as advanced manufacturing, innovation, business environment, rural revitalization, education, medical services, and others that are related to the city's economy, social development, and citizen's standard of living.

CPPCC members are also able to look up conference documents, receive notices, and submit suggestions and statements in real time with the "Mobile Meeting Affairs Platform."
