State-run media, including Xinhua News Agency, the People's Daily and the Economic Daily, introduced Zhongshan's experience and measures in the co-building, co-governance and shared social governance recently. They also interviewed Mi Xuemei, a deputy to the National People's Congress from Zhongshan.

On February 15, Xinhua News Agency published a documentary article "Three 'Firsts' push Guangdong to Set Out Again".

The article says "Zhongshan started to explore and develop the point-based floating population management system a few years before. The city constantly expands the system in addition to floating population's household registration and public school enrollment by incorporating public rental housing, medical insurance and etc into public services."

The article also mentions "at present, up to 27,500 non-native personnel, like Mi Xuemei, had obtained Zhongshan hukou (household registration), and over 91,000 children of migrant workers were admitted to local public schools."
