Deputies in attendance voted on Zhongshan's Top 10 Livelihood Projects for 2019 on the morning of February 23. The voting was carried out during the second plenary meeting of the 6th session of the 15th Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress.

This was the first time representatives from Zhongshan got to determine those livelihood projects that the government will address in the coming year. Selection of the list was decided on by the deputies of the Municipal People's Congress' vote. 

The official list of Zhongshan's 2019 Top 10 Livelihood Projects include:

* Construction and launch of a parking information service platform

* Promotion of elevator installations in older communities

* Implementation of smart safeguards in schools

* Establishment of a new series of parks

* Creation of new openings for primary school, secondary school, and kindergarten students

* Launch of the "Eyes and Teeth Protection" Campaign

* Optimization of government affairs services

* Reinforcement of migrant worker care to include care for their children

* Launch of the "Sunshine Food" APP

* Improvement of city traffic capacity
