Zhongshan has become the first city in China to develop a citywide, intelligent atomization center. The city released its digital "atomization treatment map" and conducted an atomization management training session on March 6.
The idea of citywide atomization treatment was initiated at the Zhongshan Bo'ai Hospital. Currently, this service is offered at 27 municipal and township hospitals along with 19 community-based health service centers. From now on, patients will be able to find the nearest intelligent atomization treatment service venue by looking up the "atomization treatment map."
In an effort to offer more residents easier access to atomization treatments, Zhongshan plans to place another 142 atomizing pumps in 24 hospitals. This move will benefit 6,710 child patients every day. At the same time, another 217 similar devices will equip the 19 community-based health service centers. This step will benefit 4,339 child patients every day.
"The program will help improve the quality of research and therapy in the city's children-related medical sciences bringing more benefits to child patients," said Yang Handong, Vice Director of the Zhongshan Health Bureau.
Statistics show that up to 70% of pediatric patients suffer from respiratory diseases. About 60% of these patients need to receive atomization treatments.
