The industry 4.0 production line of the Zhongshan Huasheng Furniture Group was functioning well in the workshop on March 6. The noise from the machines brings out the rapid growth of the Huasheng Furniture Group as well as the office furniture industry.

The government departments concerned and industry participants recently had a heated debate on Zhongshan's office furniture industry, saying that, at present, the industry is of solid foundations in terms of regional brand influence, channel building, and ability to undertake 100-million-yuan projects, as well as good development prospect. They suggested the city should plan and develop public display-centered headquarter base and further promote the regional brand of "China Office Furniture Strategic Town" in the context of the development of the Greater Bay Area.

Yao Yonghong, president of Huasheng Furniture Group and director of Zhongshan Office Furniture Business Association, said the government should hire professionals and experts to project, coordinate and formulate the development planning of the Zhongshan regional office furniture brand.

Huang Yunlin, vice director of Zhongshan Office Furniture Business Association, believed building a public display center in Zhongshan can help promote the office furniture industry in Zhongshan and related industries in surrounding areas.

The office furniture sector in Dongsheng, the Guangdong province's "Office Furniture Specialty Town", has seen rapid development since 2005 and grown into a pillar industry of the town.

At present, there are over 300 office furniture companies in Zhongshan, most of which are located in Dongsheng. The office furniture industry, along with supportive industries in Gangkou, Banfu and South District, generates over half of the production and sales volume nationwide.
