The "National Health Cities for 2018" are recently announced. Nine cities in Guangdong including Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shantou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Huizhou, Meizhou, Heyuan and Zhongshan were in the list.

In addition, six towns of Zhongshan, including Xiaolan, Guzhen, Shaxi, Sanxiang, Tanzhou and Nantou, were listed as "National Health Counties (Towns)".

Zhongshan won the title of "National Health City" in December 1995. In recent years, Zhongshan has been steadily pushing forward the development of "Advanced Sanitary City" and "Healthy City" by improving sanitation infrastructure construction and management.

In the next stage, Zhongshan will comprehensively promote the construction of the healthy city and endeavors to win the "Guangdong Demonstrated Healthy City" title by the end of 2020.
