April 1 witnessed the inauguration of the Museum of National Support Towards Tibet Autonomous Region in Lunang Town of Nyingchi City, Tibet. It presents the achievements and model deeds of supporting Tibet programs of 17 provinces and municipalities in the past 20 years, using photos, videos, and more. A diary and a military coat of Wang Chaogang, a Zhongshan cadre sent to aid Tibet, are collected and exhibited at the museum.
On July 18, 2016, Guangdong sent the 8th group cadre, including eight from Zhongshan, to Gongbo'gyamda County to initiate an aid program there. Since arriving Tibet, Wang and his colleagues had kept diaries despite the daunting task. This activity helped them to keep track of their work and devise a better way to carry out the program.
In the past three years, Wang has completed 6 diaries.
The military coat has been a standard gear for every cadre who works in Tibet as it provides warmth to the cadre on the high, cold, remote snow-capped plateau.
Not only do the diary and the coat represent the Zhongshan cadres' bravery and commitment, but also the Zhongshan people's universal love and friendship for their Tibetan compatriots.
