A total of 5 main roads in Central City, including Sunwen East Road, Yinwan East Road, Yinwan South Road, Fujia Road, and Qiwan Avenue, will soon be renovated.

In particular, Sunwen West Road will be renovated at the section between Huabo Road and Changjiang Road. This project has a length of 5,185 meters. Additionally, Qiwan Avenue will be renovated on a 2,386 meter long section between Kanghua Road and Qijiang River.

The bidding for project research and design was initiated a few days ago. This plan covers the primary design and the construction drawing design for road exploration, measurement and engineering, water supply and sewer engineering, traffic facilities engineering, lighting, and greening engineering.

Since the second half of 2018, the Zhongshan Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau has launched the renovation of 98 municipal roads in central city. The project will be completed in three stages within the next three years. It will improve the facilities of these roads including pavement, water supply and drainage system, sidewalks, slow-moving lanes, traffic nodes, harbor-shaped bus stops, and more.
