The 16th Zhongshan Adolescent Robotics Competition (ZSARC) was held on April 14 in Zhongshan Technical Secondary School. A boy named Luosang Yundeng from Gongbo'gyamda, Tibet, won the first innovation prize award.
"In my hometown, it takes at least half a day to make buttermilk. However, we now have this automatic buttermilk machine to complete the task in less than two hours," said Luosang Yundeng excitedly.
This was the first time for the 13-year-old boy and his classmate, a 16-year-old girl called Ciren Yuzhen, to present their work from the Tibetan plateau at ZSARC. The buttermilk machine was invented and completed under the guidance of their teacher, Liu Junjie, who went to teach in Gongbo'gyamda Middle School last year from Zhongshan.
A total of 391 teams, comprising of 843 participants, took part in ZSARC this year.
