Zhaopin.com, China's top job recruitment site, released the "Industrial Development and Talent Flow Report of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" on April 9.

The report says that the average monthly salary of the Greater Bay Area reaches 9,227 yuan.

Hong Kong, the most advanced economy within the Greater Bay Area, tops the average monthly salary at 23,745 yuan. It is followed by Macao and Shenzhen, both having an average monthly salary exceeding 10,000 yuan.

The average monthly salaries of other Greater Bay Area cities range from 8,000 yuan to 9,000 yuan. Zhongshan's average monthly salary reaches 8,170 yuan.

Macao has experienced a supply-demand balance in talent, while Huizhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhuhai, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, Zhongshan and Hong Kong face talent shortage, the report says.

Job market competitions are generally intense within the Greater Bay Area. For every job seeker, there is only 0.65 job opportunity, the report adds.

The two most popular professions in the Greater Bay Are are internet/e-commerce and real estate/architecture/building material/engineering. There is an urgent demand for salesmen and technicians/operators with a huge demand gap.
