The "Renowned Medical Clinic" founded by Zhongshan People's Hospital and Henglan Hospital was opened in late March this year. A total of 21 physicians from different departments of Zhongshan People's Hospital such as otolaryngology, pediatrics, orthopedics, and respiratory medicine; among others, will be at the clinic in Henglan Hospital in turn. The new services make it easier for citizens to see a physician from the top hospital near their homes.

This is the first time Zhongshan People's Hospital opens a "Renowned Medical Clinic" in a township hospital.

"Some of our regular patients in Zhongshan People's Hospital living in Henglan, came to us immediately when they learned of the founding of the 'Renowned Medical Clinic'." While on duty at the "Renowned Medical Clinic" on April 11, Yang Zhifeng, a gastroenterologist from Zhongshan People's Hospital, said that "it was no longer necessary for patients to queue in the big hospital."

"I never thought I could receive the same medical service in the township hospital as that I received in the big one. The cost was even lower here," said Ms Yang, a 49-year-old patient.

Henglan Hospital will open its hemodialysis room next month with renowned doctors at the service of patients. Both hospitals will also carry out remote medical diagnosis and treatment and open green transferring channels to solve the medical problems for township residents as well.
