The "2019 Guangdong-Hong Kong Youth Cantonese Opera Show" was presented at the Xiangshan Cantonese Opera Troupe at Zimaling Park on April 13 in the morning.

The performing teams came from Guangdong and Hong Kong. The performers, aged 15 averagely, presented 8 renowned classical Cantonese Opera chapters such as "Madame White Snake" and "The Legend of Purple Hairpin" to over 300 spectators.

A staff representative of the Zhongshan Xiangshan Cantonese Opera Research Institute said that they aimed to promote Cantonese Opera exchanges between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and use the event to provide more platforms for young performers.
