Recently, the list of Top 100 Foreign Trade Enterprises in Guangdong Province in 2018 was published. This was the first time for Guangdong Province to publish the list. 

This assessment took into account factors such as the total amount earned foreign trade, mode of trade, commodity structure and enterprise influence. The top 100 foreign trade enterprises consist of 70 export enterprises and 30 import enterprises. 

The six enterprises in Zhongshan found in the list include: Zhongshan Silk Imp. & Exp. Group Co., Ltd. of Guangdong, Guangdong Homa Refrigerator Co., Ltd., Wistron (Zhongshan) Co., Ltd., Guangdong Galanz Microwave Life Electric Appliance Manufacturing Co., Ltd., TCL Air Conditioners (Zhongshan) Co., Ltd. and Canon (Zhongshan) Office Equipment Co., Ltd. 

Among them, Homa Refrigerator, Galanz and TCL Air Conditioners are the leading private enterprises in the home appliance industry. Homa Refrigerator and Galanz are respectively regarded as the "sales champions" in the refrigerator and microwave market. 

Wistron (Zhongshan) Co., Ltd. and Canon (Zhongshan) Office Equipment Co., Ltd. are foreign-invested enterprises and the leading enterprises for processing trade in Zhongshan. 

Zhongshan Silk Imp. & Exp. Group Co., Ltd. of Guangdong is the leading enterprise for export and import trade mainly serving traditional small and medium-sized private enterprises. 

These enterprises reflect the foreign trade structure in Zhongshan City: high economic openness and export orientation. According to the statistics of Zhongshan Customs, the total volume of foreign trade in Zhongshan in 2018 was 234.188 billion yuan, among which the export volume was 180.197 billion yuan. With a minor growth, exports still accounted for absolute dominance in foreign trade.
