The opening ceremony of Sun Yat-sen Cultural Tourism and the First "Old Master" Talent Show was held on April 22 in the Zhongshan Studio City plaza, under the guidance of the Sun Yat-sen Cultural Exchange Base of the Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference.

The event brought more than 10,000 people to learn about Sun Yat-sen culture, and attracted more than 5,000 people to participate in related Sun Yat-sen cultural and tourism activities. Through the promotional influence of cultural tourism, the event revealed the profound development and changes in Zhongshan's economy and society in a comprehensive way. It attracted more tourists to Zhongshan to relish the charms of Sun Yat-sen culture.

Before the talent show, the hosting staff toured 160 communities in Shenzhen and Zhuhai to promote the event. More than 190 symposiums about Sun Yat-sen cultural tourism were held to attract adults and the elderly who were interested in Sun Yat-sen culture across Guangdong to display their talents in the competition.

Besides talent shows, the organizer also assigned a team to visit Nanlang Zuobu Village to conduct a half-day tour with the theme of "Visiting the ancestral home of the great man and relishing Sun Yat-sen culture".
