The administration of Zhongshan-Jiangmen Expressway, aka Zhongjiang Expressway, issued a travel reminder on April 23 for the upcoming Labor Day holiday.

An official representative said the Zhongshan-Jiangmen Expressway witnessed a traffic flow of 294,000 vehicles during last year's Labor Day holiday. Influenced by the opening of the Nansha Bridge, the figure is expected to drop 3.6% year-on-year to 283,300 this year.

Although there will be a year-on-year decrease, the traffic flow in the holiday is still much larger than that in common days, the official representative added. In that case, citizens are suggested to plan ahead before they traveling out.

It is known that a series of special activities will be carried out during the holiday on Zhongshan-Jiangmen Expressway to serve the drivers and passengers. For example, the administration will partner up with the highway traffic police department to carry out the "Toilet Revolution" campaign. They also plan to provide voluntary services, such as free tea and water, guidance on avoiding traffic jams and rapid treatment of accidents, and more to drivers and passengers on April 29 at the Dongsheng Service Area.
