Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province recently released the list of provincial model family farms for 2018. A total of 101 family farms across the province made the list, including 3 from Zhongshan, namely Yufeng Family Farm located in Huangpu Town, Yipulin Ecological Farm in Shenwan Town, and Xijiulong Aquatic Farm in Gangkou Town.

Weng Boyang, owner of Xijiulohng Aquatic Farm, said the farm was built in 2010, covering an area of 56 mu (37333.3 square meters). It is mainly engaged in raising baby turtles and related species. The farm was selected as one of the Model Family Farms in Zhongshan in 2014.

In recent years, Zhongshan has seen a good development trend of family farms. Last year, 55 family farms across the city were funded 1 million yuan in total by the government.
