The two-day 2019 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Teenager Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Competition, along with the Science and Innovation Carnival, concluded on May 12 in Shenzhen.

The competition consisted of three sections, namely "Short Film Making Contest", "Mission Challenge", and "Intelligent City and Urban Science and Innovation Carnival Selection". Over 800 teenagers of 73 teams coming from Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Foshan, Huizhou, Zhongshan, Zhaoqing, Zhuhai, and Jiangmen joined the event. 

Zhongshan Technical Secondary School and Dongqu High School of Zhongshan won the first and second prize for team competition in the "Mission Challenge" section respectively.

The "Mission Challenge" section was designed basing on the characteristics of the Greater Bay Area. The racing line followed the locations of the Greater Bay Area cities, with varied heights and difficulty levels being planned.

36 out of 73 teams took part in the "Mission Challenge". The top 20 would attend the final to be held in Hong Kong later this year.
