The field interview activity, with the theme "A New Era after 70 Magnificent Years' Development", was carried out a week before the International Labour Day this year at the S04 Section of the Lingdingyang Bridge. The spotlight was turned on the builders of an offshore construction site of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge project and their work and life.

In this isolated island-like construction site, there are always new things and stories. A workers' home, a night school, and a new self-service KTV bar are set up in the living quarters. Hu Shangwu, one of the building workers, said they could now watch movies, play chess, write calligraphy and do other recreational activities in the construction site, which made their boring offshore operation and life revitalized.

Presently, more than 300 building workers lived in the offshore construction site. Such figure will be more than 600 at peak time. A wide range of recreational and sports activities not only trigger their vigor but also enhance the team cohesiveness.
