Chen Xudong, Secretary of the Zhongshan CPC Committee, paid a visit to the Torch Development Zone on May 15. He was there to inspect Zhongshan's high-quality economic development and implementation of the Fourth National Economic Census. City leaders Yang Wenlong and Li Changchun accompanied the inspection.

Chen Xudong firstly visited Zhongshan Xuguiming Electronics Co Ltd and Guangdong Hongjing Optoelectronic Technology Inc, where he learned about their technological research and development (R&D), operational management, and import-export performance. He also investigated the status quo of migrant workers' rights protection and problems met by enterprises in the process of pushing high-quality development.

Torch Development Zone is the major battlefield in Zhongshan for the development of the Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Greater Bay Area and a high-quality economy. It should take the lead in quality upgrades, efficiency enhancements and be the driving force in transformation, Chen Xudong said.

Chen Xudong also visited the Economic Census Office of the Torch Development Zone and studied the implementation of the Fourth National Economic Census.
