Li Peihui, a sophomore from the Zhongshan Yang Xian Yi Middle School (YXYMS), won the senior high school champion of the 100-metre dash competition at the 8th Zhongshan City Games on May 16. He also broke the city games record (11'18'') at 10'82''.

According to Chen Yelong, Head of the YXYMS' PE Division, Li Peihui has been practicing in track and field since junior high school. After two years of training in YXYMS, Li Peihui has made a significant progress in his performance.

Earlier at the 2018 Guangdong Track and Field Tournament for Middle School Students, Li Peihui won the men's level-C 100-metre dash final champion of the year.

Chen Yelong attributed Li Peihui's quick progress to his gift, his teachers' instruction, and most importantly his own efforts.

Li Peihui considers renowned sprinter Su Bingtian as his idol. He expects to keep running and get admitted to his ideal university.
