An associated interview team from the small Cuiheng Village (Sun Yat-sen's hometown) on May 16 launched its journey to Hongkong, Macao and nine Pearl River Delta cities, with the aim of exploring the correlation between a great man's footprints and contemporary development.
The large-scale humanistic interview activity named "Sun Yat-Sen Culture Tour in Guangdong, Hongkong and Macao" was officially launched on the day. Xu Ruisheng, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, presented the flag to the associated interview team.
The activity was jointly organized by Zhongshan Municipal Committee of the CPPCC and Hong Kong Takung Wenwei Media Group.
Qiu Shuhong, President of Zhongshan Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, addressed at the launching ceremony at the Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen that the popularization of Sun Yat-Sen culture in the Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Greater Bay Area would not only help to inherit and promote China's fine tradition, but also build connections with the Belt and Road to strengthen exchanges and mutual-learning with various countries in the world.
Takungpao, together with relevant media, will form a team to interview remains of Sun Yat-Sen culture in the Greater Bay Area and look into related humanistic and historical inheritance.
This is the first humanistic interview activity that digs into, sorts out and popularizes Sun Yat-Sen culture in the Greater Bay Area. The activity will draw attention on the impact of Sun Yat-Sen culture on communication and cooperation among cities in the GBA, look for demonstration areas in the "Humanistic Greater Bay Area" in terms of Sun Yat-Sen culture, and design an urban linkage mode with culture as a bridge.
