Zhongshan Education and Sports Bureau on May 20 unveiled this year's recruitment plan of municipal primary and middle schools in compulsory education stage.

Compared with 2018, adjustments are made in such two enrollment categories, namely "enrollment by registered permanent residence" and "enrollment by agreement", for Zhongshan Shiqi Central Primary School and Zhongshan Experimental Primary School. The two schools will continue to enroll students respectively from East District and Shiqi District through the computer aided allocation, which will be carried out on the morning of June 21. Other students who are not assigned will be enrolled to other schools under the coordination of the district education departments.

Meanwhile, the four municipal middle schools plan to enroll a total of 2,150 students this year. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School, Zhongshan No.1 Middle School and Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Secondary School are about to enroll 400, 800 and 800 students respectively. Zhongshan Experimental Middle School will enroll 150 students in addition to 50 from Tibet. Policy-supported students will have priority in direct enrollment. Other students will participate in the computer aided allocation, which is scheduled for July 3 morning.
