Chen Xudong, Secretary of the Zhongshan Municipal Party Committee, on May 28 visited and sent holiday blessings to children in primary and secondary schools. The other purpose of his visit was to check on the preparation for the National College Entrance Examination.

Chen toured the newly-completed campus of the Bokai Primary School in Torch High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. He participated in the entry ceremony for new young pioneers, sang the Young Pioneers' Song along with students, recalled the history of the young pioneers, and handed out learning supplies to students. Chen, on behalf of the Zhongshan Municipal Party Committee and Zhongshan People's Government, delivered his blessings for Children's Day to all the juveniles in Zhongshan along with his sincere appreciation for all the teachers.

Chen also went to the Zhongshan Experimental Middle School to learn about examination room surveillance, safety and confidentiality measures, and the boarding and lodging of students. While there, he communicated with Grade 3 high school students during their breaks. He also visited Tibetan students about to take the college entrance examination, and encouraged them to prepare themselves in the best way possible for the examination. He wished all of the students to have the most ideal results.
