Xu Ningjun, Director of the Food Safety Office of the Zhongshan Administration for Market Regulation (ZSAMR), was invited to ZSNEWS.cn for an interview program on the afternoon of May 29. He interacted with netizens on such livelihood topics as "guaranteeing food safety" and "improving the level and ability of food safety supervision".

At the Zhongshan "Two Sessions" held in 2019, the launching of Zhongshan "Transparent Food Source" was included in this year's Top 10 Livelihood Projects. This app is aimed at making it convenient for the public to view the quick inspection results of products made from the processing and cooking from the kitchens of 1,000 food manufacturers, production and processing of small workshops, and farm markets through mobile phones anytime and anywhere.

ZSAMR will conduct "Transparent Kitchen" pilot internet broadcast in school canteens via the "Transparent Food Source" app. The activities will show how convenient it is for parents to watch real-time videos of canteen material purchasing and food processing operations. Furthermore, the show is designed to promote the food safety information of schools to the public.

Data shows a total of 393 food safety demonstration production enterprises, markets, stores, and entities of "Transparent Kitchen" have been established in Zhongshan, in addition to 29 food safety demonstration streets. Moreover, the "Transparent Kitchen" program has covered 80.4% of the 25,000 catering service entities across the city.
