Zhongshan Port will usher in a passenger peak on the coming weekend.  

The Dragon Boat Festival holiday is around the corner. In order to meet the holiday passenger peak, Zhongshan Port will increase sailings to and from Hong Kong from June 6, according to the Zhongshan Frontier Inspection Station.

During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, overseas Chinese returning home to visit relatives, Hong Kong residents and mainland tourists will be the "main force" of the passenger peak. It is predicted that the travel peak will fall on the second day of the holiday.

In order to facilitate passengers, Zhongshan Port will operate more inbound and outbound sailings from June 6, including one inbound sailing on June 6, three inbound sailings each on June 7 and June 8, and two inbound sailings on June 9. The "Zhongshan to Hong Kong International Airport" route will be extended to the Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal for increasing the outbound passenger volume.

The outbound peak period of Zhongshan Port will be 7 am to 2 pm each day, and the inbound peak period will be 4 pm to 10 pm. The Zhongshan Frontier Inspection Station suggests passenger to avoid the peak hours. (from Guangzhou Daily)
