Dongsheng Town recently received a reply from the Chinese Weiqi Association, in which it was awarded the "Hometown of Weiqi in China".

In recent years, the cause of weiqi in Dongsheng has developed by leaps and bounds. All kinds of weiqi competitions are in full swing and weiqi activities in schools are launched in an all-round way. The number of weiqi players is in explosive growth. Such a momentum earns the interest and praise of provincial and national weiqi circles.

From June 21 to 24, Dongsheng will host the Zhongshan Open of the 2019 Chinese Weiqi Hometown Tournament, and will receive weiqi players from 12 cities. This will be the first time for Dongsheng and even for Zhongshan City to hold such a large-scale weiqi tournament.
