In order to help residents develop the habit of garbage sorting, a batch of intelligent trash-recycling machines were put into use in Beiqu Community in Xiaolan Town since early June. The machines are able to calculate the earnings by trash categories and amounts and immediately tell residents who throw the garbage into the drop box the results. 

The new green trash-recycling machines are called "Naji Island". Five small ones are distributed in the community to recycle kitchen and other waste. A larger intelligent waste sorting and recycling machine is placed behind the low-carbon station. It can recycle 12 types of garbage.

A staff member demonstrated the specific process of trash recycling. He first registered on the APP or WeChat, and scanned the QR code on the screen to open the drop boxes. Then he put the garbage into different boxes. The machine showed him how much he could earning from this action in according to the weight and unit price of the garbage. 

It is introduced that people can withdraw the earnings to their WeChat or Alipay accounts when they exceed 5 yuan, or redeem commodities with "Naji Coins" on the platform mall.

The machines are currently under trial operation. They are open for use for two hours each in the morning and afternoon on weekends for the purpose of centralized recycling.
