The 2019 "One Enterprise for One Post · Mutual Benefit and Win-Win Outcomes" Special Recruitment Fair for College Graduates was recently organized at the Zhongshan Stadium by the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. It is the second public welfare job fair for college graduates in Zhongshan this year. More than 200 Zhongshan companies were present at this on-the-spot recruitment and provided 8,527 posts of different types, including 3,465 for fresh graduates.

According to statistics from the organizer, 3,024 people attended this fair for recruitment on the day, with 747 reaching primary job intention with companies. The job information for the fair is simultaneously posted on websites and the WeChat official account of the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, with over 20,000 views.

Su is a Zhongshan native majoring in computer science at the university and will graduate from the Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai by late June. He has been offered a job related to his major in Zhongshan. According to him, most of his fellows in class prefer to work in cities with more developed information industries such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen. However, due to the high cost of living in these cities, Su tends to stay in Zhongshan.

According to the statistics from the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, there are 11,938 college graduates from Zhongshan in 2019. The total number of college graduates in Zhongshan has reached 14,043. Added to college students from other provinces who come to Zhongshan and graduates who applied for an employment suspension in previous years, it is expected that some 30,000 graduates will seek jobs in Zhongshan this year.

In spite of the many competitions, college graduates are calm when seeking jobs. Some of such reasons can be seen in the data: according to statistics, the employment rates of college graduates from Zhongshan stood at 95.15%, 96.96%, 97.82% and 98.13% from 2015 to 2018, all above 95%.
